Sometimes my students who have studied blogging ask me…
Why don’t you blog daily Diane?
Why don’t you do all kinds of keyword research and create blog posts to get traffic?
Why don’t you write about the topics that people supposedly want to read about?
One simple reason…
Cause in my book this is just not AUTHENTIC.
Can you imagine waking up every morning and doing a soliloquy to your family about the topics that you know they were involved with yesterday?
Talking to your husband about the 7 greatest plays of the NFL game not cause you were interested in it but because you know that is what he watched?
Doing a report of the 7 hottest characteristics of Justin Bieber with your daughter…
Or the 3 best ways to score high in Super Mario on XBox with your son before he heads off to school?
Yes..I KNOW you can get “traffic” to your site by optimizing it and writing about that which you think people are busy searching for but in the end what kind of QUALITY is that traffic?
Just like what kind of quality of relationships would you have with your family if you only talked in terms of “7 hot tips” on whatever?
If you are in NETWORK MARKETING (internet marketing is different) then you need to base your communications on building attraction and relationships…
Not a bunch of pre packaged stuff.
Just like we would do when speaking to people we meet locally and/or friends and family.
Bottom line…
People KNOW what’s real and what isn’t.
And YES..they may find your site if you write stuff like that…
BUT…
Will they stay…
Will they come back…
And MOST IMPORTANTLY …
Will they BUY from you and see you as a TRUSTED RESOURCE?
So why don’t I blog every day?
Simple…cause I am doing OTHER STUFF.
I am working with clients…
Interacting on Facebook…
Training my team…
Speaking at events…
And FRANKLY…
Sometimes I just don’t have anything to say!
The good news is that when I do write something…
It’s probably worth reading!
And oh yeah…if you want the best stuff from me I highly recommend you subscribe to my list on the right as I often send stuff out to my list that never see’s the light of day on my blog.
So that’s that…
Authentically me…
What you see is what you get!
Lose the idea that you have to be PERFECT in order to have a successful business
and get into the idea that the success you want lies in PEOPLE.
The more people you know and serve the more money you make.
Pretty simple.
And THIS is EXACTLY how I compete with lists in the hundreds of thousands and end up top ten in most every affiliate contest in the industry.
You can too!
If you come to grasp what networking is all about.
