So last night I was on the couch feeling kinda tired watching my beloved husband and daughter jumping all around cheering on the Mets as they swept the National League Playoffs to go to The World Series.
They were in pure bliss as two back to back homers were hit and it looked like there was no way that the Mets were not series bound.
Now you gotta understand. Larry and I have been married for 25 years and together for 30.
So I did once get to experience Larry seeing his boys do the do.
That was in 1986…the year we met.
So to watch the magic again was just too special even though I was feeling kinda crummy.
So there I was when all of a sudden something washed over me.
In a flash I realized….
WAIT…
I could surprise Larry for his 50th birthday with World Series tickets.
That there was no reason not to.
After all these years building our home business to the success that is is…
WHY NOT!
Larry deserved these tickets.
And what better gift could I give him.
So I quietly snuck over to the computer…
Did a quick search and found that YES….
I could get him tickets…
And so I did.
And here’s the funny party.
When I told Larry he was going to the World Series he was confused.
It didn’t occur to him that people like us could go to a game like that.
But we can…and we do …
All because of a simple decision we made back in 1999 to start a home business and make our dreams come true.
Here’s the coolest part.
Stuff like this is now a common part of our lives.
Suites, Cruises, Front Row Seats At Concerts, Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremonies, and Now…The World Series.
Makes you sit in gratitude and wonder…
What’s Next?
Only tomorrow will tell but the thing I love most is helping other people realize that they can do this too.
Cause like they say in Queens….

I’m a fan of that other team, over in the Bronx. It’s a generational thing going back to my grandparents. So even though it’s the Mets 😉 that is, indeed, the coolest thing ever. How fantastic that you are able to do that! Thanks for sharing.
