Diane, I finally learned this lesson myself. I was trying to trade stocks, Trying to find the next big stock. Going for the home run. It was not a winning games for me. So I build a corpoate bond ladder, Not I get paid not matter what and even 3 or 4 % really mounts up more than one would think because of compound interest.
