Just got home from California.
I attended a marketing seminar that was about taking your
PASSION and turning it into a viable business and the trainer said something
VERY IMPORTANT that has always been at the crux of my training…
It’s ALL about the PASSION
And if you don’t have passion for something you will NEVER make
the moves you need to make in order to be successful.
It’s SO TRUE.
Every day I teach people simple, simple ways that they can become
profitable almost overnight.
And I watch the weeks go by without their taking action.
And I used to wonder why…
But now I know.
They are just not in a state of PASSION that will take them past their fears and distractions.
There will ALWAYS be work…
There will always be the kids…
There will always be the relatives…
There will always be lack of sleep…
There will always be PTA meetings and parent teacher night.
It goes on and on…
Never changes.
Yet some people manage to THRIVE around all these things while others
perenially use them as excuses.
Today it’s easier than EVER to build a buisness on a low budget.
Tools that caused thousands in the past are FREE.
Blogs are free, capture pages, voicemails, graphics, video hosting, software…
You can find virtually any tool you need for free and people can place themselves in
front of audiences of THOUSANDS very quickly yet they don’t.
WHY?????
It’s simple.
They haven’t found their passion.
And a person who has not found their passion and who is building a business
to “make money” is almost GUARANTEED to LOSE MONEY.
For without that passion there will ALWAYS be an excuse and/or a fear that keeps you from doing
what you need to do TODAY…
And tomorrow..and next week and next month.
And as time ticks by and one gets desperate they become the perfect prospect
for a so called “solution” that promises to fix EVERYTHING for you.
Out comes the credit card and yet NOTHING CHANGES.
Go through this cycle a few times and you are BROKE…
A causualty…
A STATISTIC.
This weekend I decided that I ONLY want to work with people who have found their
passion or are really ready to do the work in order to find it.
I’d rather make less money(which I won’t) than take in people who are scrambling around trying to find
“the answer” to their problems.
The answer is HARD WORK, ACTION and STUDY
and ten years experience tells me that the only ones that will go through
the pain are the ones that are SO PASSIONATE that NOTHING can stop them.
And me…I am at the stage of my career and life where MY PASSION is creating a legacy.
I’m looking for the people who are as I was 11 years ago.
I knew very little…absolutely nothing about marketing…
But in my heart I was DETERMINED to learn what I needed to learn and
BE who I needed to BE in order to make it.
As of September 1st 2010 I POUR myself into the people who show me this is who they are.
I am tired of the bickering, drama, and lack of follow through.
I am tired of the “I am confuseds” and the “no o0ne will help mes”
Don’t wanna hear another “I couldn’t because”
I want to hear I can and I will.
I want to see the work done so I can mold it…tweek it… groom it.
I am creating a calvalcade of ROCK STARS.
And the ONLY WAY to become a rock star is to WANT IT…BAD.
So to all of you that read this blog regularly and especially those of you who are
involved in the NETWORK…
Are you ready to find your PASSION???
Because without it….
Your success is doubtful.
With it…
Your success is GUARANTEED.

Diane, you have hit the nail on the head , this is a post that really resonates with me . Most are not following their passion, I was there, such craziness, losing valuable time on things that did not mean a thing or add value to others.
Others lightbulb will go off with this post, there is no doubt it will make some people wake up.
Thank you so much , this post means so much to me and I know will to others.. Love it!

Isn’t it funny how THE most important ingredient in the recipe for success is the one that can’t be taught?
It took me so long to really GET this message. Too many hours spent looking for the ‘secret’, that magic tool that would make my dreams come true. Too many dollars ‘invested’ in others that should have been invested in myself.
Without PASSION there is no energy, no determination, no drive. And certainly none of the raw, gut-wrenching, steel-jawed courage that it takes to keep getting up and moving forward.
I have it now. I’m ready.
And I hope that this post reaches those folk who are still sitting ‘waiting’, and shoves them in the direction of their dreams.
Bliss, blessings and thanks,

Diane, LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!
I’ll be completely honest at saying that there are many times were that passion goes dormant for me as life hits me with another low-blow.
But it’s exactly those times that keep building that passion and that reason WHY I continue working and working, harder and harder at reaching that goal.
Absolutely wonderful post Diane! Thanks for sharing it and giving some a true reality check. 🙂
Take care!

Diane, after so long in the game it seems that passion turned off and the learning and searching became the game. Learning along side of you and the March has been the most valuable part of the come back.
Thank you for your leadership!

I’ve got passion! Diane… I just became a columnist. Really. Can you believe that? Wowsers! Not only that, but I managed to get a two page spread instead of just a column, and I got my community in on the action too. May not have been the wisest financial move (I share out my profits to do it) but it felt so right to share the good stuff with the people who’d been so supportive of me. It’s about more than a bit of cash. I want to help build something that helps lots of people, so I need to put the magazine, and community, before myself for a bit to do it. Anyhow, I took all my stuff to the auction house, so that should be sold soon. That’ll bring me cash for food and heat until the money comes in. Meanwhile, I get to do something I LOVE!
Then, I got a message from a big author saying he would like to be interviewed for the magazine! Stoked doesn’t begin to describe it. Diane, SO many good wishes to you and everyone with the network. It will be amazing. No question. You all rock!

Hi Diane,
I learned about your blog post on Hootsuite from Kimberly Castleberry today. I’ve come to understand people ‘want’ to do something but they don’t know how to identify their passion. 2 elements regarding identifying your passion I’ve learned is that 1) you’re willing to learn, do the work & change to become it and 2) It makes you feel good about yourself.
I enjoyed reading your post today and the comments.

Hi Diane,
Thank you so much for the conference call of today. It’s 5.40 am here in Spain and I was listening very nice stories about which is your passion, and almost say something but decided to write it here because I express myself better writing than speaking on the phone. I have a concern… I don’t know if that’s the place to post it, if don’t, just delete my comment.
I don’t have a beautiful story, but my passion is to help people setting up their business, helping them to improve their lives, because we all know how hard is to find real people, honest people really trying to help and not just taking your money. And when I found you I thought “yes, it’s possible to be sincere, honest, real and make money helping people”. I’m very thankful to find you Diane. Now I’m doing videos and getting out of my comfort zone… I’ve never imagined that I could start to make videos, I’m a shy person…, and more over in english!!! because I’m spanish. I love when someone tells me: “hey thank you for the video it has inspired me :)” But anyway, I was thinking today that maybe I don’t have a very specific targeted market… so I have to find this specific market? For example men or women from 30 to 50 y.o. or something? Because I think there’s a lot of type of people who wants to start their own business and start to change their lives.
Thank you
Xavi

Diane this was an awesome post. In reading what you wrote you are very correct. I know years ago I had “NO” passion in what I did and always wondered why I could not succeed in my business. I was busy being busy so the excuses poured out of me like a flowing river.
But what changed was a book my business partner gave me and it helped me realized that you either love what you do or hate what you do its no middle ground. This lead to more personal development and once I found who I was my passion appeared and my business changed.
No excuses lets change the world!!
Awesome post and thanks for your leadership

Hello Diane,
Thank you for the invitation to share our Passion/s with the Team last night. The loss of my brother, a Proud Marine, in 1984…and the lost opportunity to tell him I loved him (and hug him) when I had the chance..has left me with passion to encourage others to show their love and appreciation to their loved ones, family and friends…
I am especially mindful of our military families who are sacrificing their “ways of life” to make my own better. My gratitude knows no bounds.
Thank you, Diane, for telling us like it is…with no Passion there IS Nothing.

Hey Diane
This article hit me where it hurt some. I only recently found out I actually have more than 1 passion, I recognized both and now after following the team members around here I am finally in touch with what I need to do.
I just needed to stop spinning the wheels on my bus, and learn to just be the student for awhile.
I am in constant learn and ready to receive my wings.
Thank you for all your energy, heart and soul.

I agree, passion is probably the single most important thin someone can have in getting started in this industry. So many people make the mistake of trying to be “perfect” or an “expert” that they lose their initial momentum and passion for the business. We have all met people who are “Ignorance on Fire” and are successful because they have passion that comes through.
It’s like a spark that starts a fire. Without it, we are in the dark.
