You put your right hand into your wallet…
You take your credit card out…
You get so very excited and you shake it all about
I am cracking up as I write this…
We have all done the dance…
The Home Business Hokey Pokey!
But at some point you have to just sit down and ask yourself…
What am I going to DO with all this stuff I have bought.
Now don’t get me wrong…
I buy training and tools all the time.
I LOVES me a great seminar or a hot new plug in live everyone else.
BUT…
And here is the big BUT…
I have a couple of rules surrounding my purchases…
1) If there is any way possible to recoup the cost of the item my promoting it to my list and on social media then I must bring in the income to cover the cost within 30 days.
This way I can get my new toy knowing that I can turn around…
Become an affiliate and flip the cost into a PROFIT.
2) I must USE the tool or training I purchase IMMEDIATELY to turn a profit or do something that in the end will turn that profit
Not in a few days..not in a few weeks…not next month…but NOW.
If you follow these two rules you can do the Home Business Hokey Pokey all you want!
Buy away…have fun…get all the coolest new tools…
But most importantly…
Build a BUSINESS.
See you on the dance floor!

Love this post Diane. It is so YOU. You always tell it like it is and make it fun even when it stings a little. I agree with you on this point 100%

Great advice Diane, we see way to many people who just by, buy and buy some more and never implement or recoup that cost…..Do The Hokey Pokey the right way….

Thanks Diane,
I find the “shiny object syndrome” can distract from focus, leading to program hopping (hoping), great point to remind we are a business first.

It’s a terrible habit by a newbie. I like the idea of recoup the cost in 30 days, that’s a good timeline.
Great advice Diane, and keep ’em coming.
