Can they smell you from a mile away???
I mean SERIOUSLY…
Can you prospects SMELL YOU?
And if they can…
Do you smell like CHEESE????
Yup…like a CHEESY salesman!!!
Let me ask you this…
If I peek at your Facebook or blog can I tell within a split second
that you are gonna try to SELL ME SOMETHING?
Can I tell what YOU are all about and everything that YOU want ME to
do withing moments of spying you?
Is your page covered in links and banners that scream “BUY MY STUFF”???
Does what you put on the internet trigger your prospect’s SPIDEY SENSE and tell them to
RUN AWAY…RUN AWAY!!!!!
Something to think about this week…
Am I telegraphing my self centered objectives to everyone I come in contact with on the web…
And if so…is it impacting my business???
And when will I become the GO TO PERSON for the hoards of people that I could TOTALLY help
if I would just let go of the AGENDA?
It all boils down to…
Do I want to make a buck…
Or do I want to become a RESOURCE to people and INSURE that I make a living FOREVER.
Do you want to be known as someone who has stood the test of time
Or will you fade away and be known as the CHEESIEST???

I like cheese (Scottish Mature Cheddar) on my toast not my sales person.
You have just linked yourself to Macaroni and Cheese Forever and your not even Italian 😉

I think that there are good people out there who are getting poor advice from marketer who do Cheesy marketing. They don’t really understand where the money is made when they do that.
I’m glad I moved away from that crowd and joined marketers who market professionally and with class.
Carol Wickett says
You are so right! People will move away from you quickly if all you want to do is sell.
And I agree with Lidia. I thinks a lot of people do not realize this. We all need to do our part to educate people.

Diane,
You are so right, the people who are the so called guru’s who teach us this stuff the wrong way hurts us instead of helping us and then we wonder why we are not getting the results that we have paid all that money for. I hope that I am not the cheesy category LOL!

I have to agree. I like different cheeses but not in the social site scene. Cheese is meant to eat. That’s it!
