Go Slow To Go Fast…

My mentor used to repeat this line over and over….
Diane…
Go slow to go fast…
Go slow to go fast.
And being me…
I hated when he said it as all I wanted to do was GO FAST.
I realize now the wisdom in those words.
I realize now what they meant.
And every time I look at my monthly revenue I shake my head and think THANK GOD I listened to him.
So the question is…How do you go slow when everyone is screaming telling you they can help you go FAST.
Well…the first thing you do is plug into a place where you can learn THE BASICS.
Be it working a traditional MLM for a few years or perhaps getting a coach to make sure you have all the skills you need to make it big.
This is paying your dues and is a critical foundation to your success.
Next….find a mentor.
A person who sees you shining and who wants to sow into you.
How do you get a mentor?
You EARN one by demonstrating the fundamental skills you learned in the first stage of your development.
True mentors are looking for people to pass the gauntlet to.
So few people want to DO THE WORK so when they find someone who does…
They can’t but help but to pass down their wisdom.
Once you have a mentor THEN it is time to build YOUR entity and have them tweek you as you go along.
Trying to portray yourself as the expert before you have the skills just does not work.
Once you have the skills and the mentor…
NOW you are ready to become the STAR.
Playing secondary and supportive roles is part of the process that eventually puts you CENTER STAGE.
There is no short cut….
You must go slow.
But the all of a sudden you stop and look and realize how FAST you have gone.
Before you know it you are a six figure earner closing in on your first million!
And I all started with GOING SLOW.
